Just training, or something else?

Just woke up and noticed my internet had a massive blip last night, a quick look at my router logs and TBB graph don't reveal much other than an outage and now I appear to have interleaving.

*scratches her head* I'd kinda like some sort of details as to what happened to cause the outage please if possible.

Re: Just training, or something else?

Might be worth checking if your IP profile has changed at http://speedtest.btwholesale.com/ (after the speed test hit further diagnostics)
Probably the cause of DLM... Sad

Re: Just training, or something else?

It seems I was hit with the same "Epic Blip" that affected a whole bunch of other people last night: http://community.plus.net/forum/index.php/topic,115914.0.html
And other people's profiles look to be affected as well.
EDIT: My profile does seem to have taken a hit, but a very tiny one it seems. Speeds are not worth looking at as I have iPlayer running atm (Spawtspawtspawtspawts)
Quote
Download speed achieved during the test was - 71.6 Mbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speedsis 16 Mbps-77.33 Mbps .
Additional Information:
IP Profile for your line is - 77.33 Mbps
------------------------
Upload speed achieved during the test was - 15.07Mbps
Additional Information:
Upstream Rate IP profile on your line is - 20 Mbps

Hey there, we can't always attribute the cause of an isolated issue like that but we are aware that some planned engineering works carried out by our suppliers over ran during the cause of last night.
BTW I've just been able to "bump" the profile back up a bit for you.

Re: Just training, or something else?

As far as I know, the engineering was at 2am this morning, not 10-11pm last night, which is when the disconnections of people's broadband occured, causing many profile changes.

Re: Just training, or something else?

Are you sure your sync dropped & Interleaving has been applied, the increased ping could be just down to the particular Gateway you are on.

Re: Just training, or something else?

*points up at the router logs* I dunno about sync, but the router definately was told to stop the PPPoE connection for a few minutes.
I don't have access to the same data the PN staff have, which is why I made a thread looking into diagnosis.

Re: Just training, or something else?

That'll cause a Gateway change usually. If you want to Gateway hop, log in to your router and look for your Internet Connection and click Disconnect. This drops the PPP session to the ISP. Wait about 30 seconds and then Click Connect.
