Just an observation on a Belkin Wireless N+ modem/router performance
Been using a Netgear DG834G v2 modem/router whilst on this trial, and my speeds increased from my pre-trial 800Kbps to around a stable 1149kbps.
Thought I might start streaming media around my home so invested in a Belkin Wireless N+ (8635v4) modem/router. The one with a USB2 port on the back, so you can hang a hard drive on it to function as a media server. All hunky-dory, but imagine my dismay when reported line speeds went down to no more than 760kbps! Despite contacting Belkin and upgrading the firmware, to no avail I might add, I have now returned got a refund on the Belkin unit.
Back using my Netgear piece as before. Now reckon on looking for a NAS device instead. This might not affect everyone, but on my long line every ounce of download matters!!
