Just activated, half the upload speed as previous supplier...

Hi there, i know its early doors regarding my connection as I've just been activated.
But i was wondering if it was normal to see such a drop in upload speed when switching.
I was getting over 1000Kbps upload with BT but this has dropped to 443 since the transfer....
Current stats:
Downstream: 3.273 Mbps
Upstream: 443.9 Kbps
Noise margin (Down/Up): 6.9 dB / 23.2 dB
Line attenuation (Down/Up): 44.3 dB / 26.9 dB
Output power (Down/Up): 18.9 dBm / 12.5 dBm
Also wondering if the download speeds are normal.

Raise a ticket asking for the upstream to be uncapped but preferably  after we find out why your speeds are so low
Something is badly wrong as you should be getting way higher speeds than that
Is the download speed about the same as you had with BT

Thanks i will do that after we go through a few things (if im reading that correctly).
Going off several speed checks I'm getting about 1/3  the upload speed.
The download speed is pretty much consistent with what i was getting with BT 😞

Downstream: 3.367 Mbps
Upstream: 443.9 Kbps
Noise margin (Down/Up): 6.1 dB / 23.1 dB
Line attenuation (Down/Up): 44.0 dB / 26.8 dB
Output power (Down/Up): 19.1 dBm / 12.7 dBm
Current line speed: 21 Mb

Other than raising a speed fault there is nothing else you can do and to be honest you aren't likely to get any real action from BT Openreach so you may as well ask for the upload to be uncapped.
However raising a speed fault will trigger the Plusnet diagnostics and they just may spot something
When you used the test socket were there any wires attached to the lower plate you removed (I assume that there are other telephone sockets in the property)

Your upload speed is capped at a wholesale level. I've just placed an order to have it uncapped. It will complete at some point tomorrow...

I'll raise a speed fault on the off chance it picks something up.
There were 3 wires attached which I'm assuming is the connection to my living room.. I'm just keeping it plugged into the test socket for the time being.

I've just done the extended http://speedtest.btwholesale.com test and it says my ip profile is 3mbps. Is this something that can be changed or is it set in stone?
I apear to have a similar issue to this customer http://community.plus.net/forum/index.php/topic,102244.0.html same exchange and everything. But i can't quite decipher what they did (bar changing their router) to improve things....

The IP profile is 88.2% of sync on 21CN which is 2970kbps and is calculated automatically
If you were on 20CN then the upstream speed would be fixed at 448kbps and the IP profile would probably be 2500kbps
A totally different problem
