Just Got Connected / Need Help

Just got connected, the phone was suppose to be connected today and the broadband tomorrow, but called plusnet saying i had sync and they manually activated it and here i am, syncing higher than i was with sky llu which is a bonus, just my upsteam seems very low but i read that can be lifted, can someone do that for me please, also how do i view the snr in the plusnet supplied router?.

To see the full stats you need to expand the broadband connection display from Overview to Details using the link at top-right. The direct URL is http://192.168.1.254/cgi/b/dsl/dt/?be=0&l0=2&l1=0.

Perfect, how do i get to that from in the router without using the link?.

Why not save the page to your favourites/bookmark the page?

I could do that, but was just wondering how i get to it from in the router, just interested that is all. Cheesy

Thanks for that, but two more problems, the downstream is synced much higher than i am actually getting, i am only getting around 6mb on the download speed tester, also how do you log out of the plusnet router, i cant find the option anywhere?.

Hi tomxlisa,
I've changed your speed profile now - It would have changed automatically. You should see the change shortly. To log out of the router, click admin at the top right and then 'switch to another user' this should log you out.

Login to the router, click Broadband Connection, then DSL Connection, then Details
If you want to copy the information into a post, click to the left of Uptime and drag the pointer to the end of the HEC Errors line.
Right click in the highlighted area and select Copy
Right click in the forum post text box and select Paste.
(These instructions are for a TG585v8; I am assuming the TG582n is similar.)

I've just checked on our supplier's system and the upstream order has gone through, so you should be seeing the increase now.
