Is there any way for Broadband and Account passwords to be different?

As I give my broadband password to friends so they can log on, I do not want it the same as my account password. Is it possible for them to be different?

I would imagine you are giving your friends access to your Wi-Fi?

Your account password is unrelated to the WiFi password(s) and will be different on initial setup.

Good Evening and welcome to the forums

The broadband password should only be used for connecting your router to our network and generally should only need to be known by the account holder.

The password for others connecting wirelessly to your router is located on the back of your router and can be changed at any time via the router settings to something more convenient Smiley

OK - I misunderstood and thought that by broadband password it meant the wifi password that would be changed when you changed your account password. Thanks for the clarification.

No problem, it's a simple mistake to make Smiley

The wireless password by default is randomly generated but can be changed easily in the router settings if you'd like to set this to something more memorable, your router should also autoconnect to your account once everything is activated meaning you'll likely not need to use the broadband password itself other than to login to your account
