Is there an issue with one of the PN gateways?

I get these pings:
1    1 ms    1 ms    2 ms  www.routerlogin.com [192.168.0.1]
2    55 ms    37 ms    27 ms  lo0-plusnet.ptn-ag2.plus.net [195.166.128.53]
3    30 ms    33 ms    38 ms  gi2-2-204.ptn-gw02.plus.net [84.92.3.93]
4  235 ms  231 ms  216 ms  te2-2.pte-gw2.plus.net [212.159.1.106]
5    29 ms    49 ms    56 ms  linx1.orbital.net [195.66.225.93]
I don't seem to be able to switch gateways to avoid te2-2 which is making many websites unresponsive (well I get the "is taking too long to respond" error).
I notice that there are BB issues noted, but it doesn't seem to do with this particular gateway.
Anyone else noticed anything strange?

Re: Is there an issue with one of the PN gateways?

I am hoping so yes. I have had a nightmare with the internet in general this last month, all I need now is more plusnet problems
You are currently connected to the "Telehouse East, Juniper 4" gateway. This gateway is sometimes known as pte-ag2.

Re: Is there an issue with one of the PN gateways?

It has been VERY bad for me every evening for a week or two. Download is approx 1/3 of upload speeds.
ADSL2+, router is left on & is synced at > 3000 Kbps (using Routerstats) . All is OK the next morning until the next evening, even though router does NOT resync.
iPlayer is impossible, even websites are worse than I remember it being on dialup
Hope Plusnet resolve this soon or I will be going elsewhere when my 12 months are up.
BT speedtester result;
Download speedachieved during the test was - 170 Kbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 400-2000 Kbps.
Additional Information:
Your DSL Connection Rate :3276 Kbps(DOWN-STREAM), 736 Kbps(UP-STREAM)
IP Profile for your line is - 2000 Kbps

http://usertools.plus.net/status/archive/1260392904.htm explains some specific issues (external to the PN network - specifically Linx) which mean transatlantic traffic has been bad tonight.

Re: Is there an issue with one of the PN gateways?

About thirty minutes ago our network engineers made some temporary routing changes on our network that should have helped to alleviate these problems.
lol apparently true
