OK the question is tongue in cheek - just wondered if anyone else suffered this. I get a disconnect at least monthly, which usually lasts between 2 and 20 minutes. Might not sound like a massive problem, but I'm usually either playing online poker or working at home - and dropouts are a right pain in the backside.

Hi AMRN77,
Once a month seems about right for a drop in connection however I would say that most people don't notice them that often as they'll be out at work or in bed when they drop. Sounds like you work from home and spend a fair amount of time online which would leave you more open to noticing these drops.
I've included a visual RADIUS log of your connection over the last billing month and it does seem very stable!

I don't suppose you've noticed anything happening when you see the connection drop have you? In the past we've seen things ranging from street lights to microwaves that have caused interference and faults with various customers connections. With your line having so few disconnections it's hard to say if it could be something such as this causing the drops

Thanks for that. In my previous experience with BT, prior to PlusNet, I hardly ever dropped, and having connection uptime of 100s of days was usual, however this is my first FTTC installation, hence me asking the question,
The dropouts are not timely - they appear to be entirely random, and might occur late at night, or at any time during the day.

Once per month is per month isnt too unusual... although Im wondering why its down for as long as 20 mins - that is a bit longer than I'd anticipate to reconnect.
>> however this is my first FTTC installation
VDSL uses much higher frequencies than adsl, so its more susceptible to noise and line errors.
