Is There A Reason

Hi,
Whilst with BT my worst speeds were:
Download    2438 kbps
Upload          376 kbps
Since moving to PN I find that my speeds are terrible the best I get is:-
Download    1829 kbps
Upload            320 kbps
Will it improve?

Re: Is There A Reason

It's impossible to answer without more information:
What does a bt speedtest say
What is your plusnet IP profile
WHat are your line stats
Have you tested the connection using the test socket in the NT5e box to eliminate any internal phone wiring?
Lots of threads on this subject with additional advice  - try a search.

Re: Is There A Reason

Nothing wrong this end, my broadband has only slowed down since being with PM Cry there may be other threads on broadband but I think this is a PN thing

Re: Is There A Reason

The threads I am referring to are on this forum and relate to other people having speed issues. They contain advice on how to investigate the problem, which you will have to do anyway because you have to eliminate any local issues before you can report a fault.
Unless you can supply the info requested above we are not going to be able to help resolve this.

Re: Is There A Reason

Hi again Geoff,
See Adam's post here. Your latest sync event is (just) enough to push your IP profile back up to 2500kbps as per the information here.
It may take up to three days for this to happen though, and assumes that your line isn't going to disconnect/reconnect at a lower rate again during that time.
