Is Spam Handling broken?

Since the introduction of spam handling I've always had my spam delivered to a mailbox, however, last night (6:30ish) I received a mail saying a spam message had been moved to quarantine 
I've rechecked my spam settings just and the quarantine option is not selected, why did this message get handled in a different way?

That seems very odd, however we have been making some changes to Quarantine recently to try and fix some problems (see the thread here).
If you raise a support ticket containing the full headers and content of the Quarantine email you received then I'll take a look if you like? (make sure you post the ticket ID to this thread though).

A similar thing happened to me yesterday. I have never used the quarantine feature yet got a notification message. Checked today and quarantine is not enabled. See ticket 29545464 which has a copy of the notification message attached.

Yes I had one notification in at 22:15 yesterday on my work account and have quarantine turned off.
Just checked and it's still off...mail to Spam folder.

Quite a bit of spam in the spam folder but no more notifications to date Bob which is good.

I have not had any more Spam Quarantine Notifications since I raised my ticket
