Can anyone else shed some light on this? I seem to get a problem where mail won't delete, won't purge or OE won't close down. If I cancel and try again it usually works. Worse still when I send a message the send mail window doesn't close and it's quite easy to send it twice by mistake.
It's possibly my fault or an OE thing but I think there's a problem with the way old IMAP sessions are closed. My guess is the sessions are not being closed at all but just disconnected silently. Oddly enough after the last big email outage IMAP was very responsive for about a week then back to normal.
