I was having a poke about in my router - the router system had been up for over 900 hrs. Then, The Internet section had been up for 28hrs - Meaning that the router must have lost connection at 4am on the 16th (Yesterday). Now, My connection speed has dropped from 4096kbps to 3776kbps - Meaning my IP Profile has dropped too. Does anyone know why that happend? Router stats below -

Can you check the router stats.
It is just possible that the default noise margin has been increased by the automatic system

Presumably the noise level on the line increased.
The noise margin hence reduced - this is common during the night due to increased general atmospheric interference.
The router could no longer maintain sync at the higher rate with this noise level
So it did a re-sync at a lower rate.............and the IP setting has reduced in line.
I've found that once this happens it is rare that during the next day (when noise levels are lower) that the system will re-sync back at the higher rate despite a now much higher noise margin:
In other words the only way to raise the sync speed is to manually re-boot the router (or always switch off the router overnight)
........such is life.
