Internet connection slow and also internet speeds have decreased.

Hi there, for the past week I've been experiencing really slow connections to the internet. It takes at least 5-10 minutes to open up YouTube or any other website. Also we keep getting disconnected from the internet every couple of minutes (the most 20 minutes). As for the internet connection speed, 3 weeks ago I've been getting at least 3.2mb up and 0.4mb (400kpbs).
This is the speeds that we are getting at the moment. Also the ping used to be at least 15-20ms.

What seems to be the problem?

If you experience frequent disconnections then your speed is pretty much bound to go down so it's the disconnections that are the real problem.  How does your phone line sound when you make calls: any audible noise on the line?  Have you added any new telephony equipment to your house recently?

Are you connected via wired or wireless to your router?
Could you run a BT Speedtest (http://speedtest.btwholesale.com/), click on Further Diagnostics and post the result? Could you also post your router stats?

Just had a look over your connection and can see no obvious cause for this. As AndyH mentioned above, is it a wired or wireless connection you're using?

I use wifi and cable, it's still slow. sorry for the late reply I've been busy.

OK, thanks for letting us know. Do the speeds vary greatly depending on which is being used?
Also I can see the connection has remained up for over 48 hours to it seems to be more stable now.
