Re: Internet Going off

The Internet certainly shouldn't be going off and needing a router restart to get connected again. I suggest both of you report a dropping connection fault using the troubleshooter at http://faults.plus.net (BT are doing work on it at the moment so holding pages are in place - should be back by 8am tomorrow).
The first steps in the troubleshooter cover diagnostic tests to eliminate problems local to your property - it is important that these are carried out.

Re: Internet Going off

Openreach has been fixing an inordinate number of line faults just recently so don't be too hasty to blame plus.net, you might be suffering these same issues whichever provider you were with.  Whenever I have had issues with DSL (dis)connections it has usually been because it had rained somewhere between here and the exchange and no matter how good, bad or indifferent plus.net might be it cannot be held responsible for the weather  Wink

Re: Internet Going off

Hi BenG,
I've checked your connection and your looks like it's performing as it should. I've posted a log of your connection below;
<img src="http://ccgi.psmith12.plus.com/visradius/generated/image13521254124057.png" />
Did anything happen internally at the times, any other electrical devices on at that time, any bad weather?
If it persists then it would be worth raising a fault at http://faults.plus.net and running through the initial diagnostic questions.
Let me know how you get on.
Chris
@Fireant
Looking at your connection on Saturday it appears that you had quite a few drops, it's looks stable now.
Let me know how you're getting on.

Re: Internet Going off

Hi Fireant,
As spraxyt says above, we need you to report a fault at the link in his post - unfortunately until that's done we can't investigate it because that wizard will take you through a few tests that need to be done before we can report anything.
If you could run through that wizard we'll make sure we get things sorted out for you.

Im still having issues with the internet as router still disconnects every day theres not a day goes by without it happening  Angry
