Intermittent outages High Peak area

Ive been experiencing intermittent outages since midnight yesterday. I was just wondering if anyone else has had any issues in the High Peak area. Ive done all the usual checks and even tried 3 different routers but every now and again Ive been losing line connection for a minute or so. Nothing too serious but im just curious if anyone else has had problems before I start delving any deeper in to it.

There has been a lot of rain in recent days - this could have an adverse impact of iffy joints etc.  Have you checked the phone line for audible noise?

Broadband is not going to work well if the "phone" line is not working properly.

Please perform a quiet line test - dial 17070 select option 2 using a corded phone plugged into the test socket behind the face plate of the master socket. It should be silent. A noisy phone line (or no dial tone) will have a marked adverse impact on the performance of broadband.

If the line is noisy or there is no dial tone, then a PHONE LINE fault needs to be raised with your phone provider. If this is PlusNet, you can report a fault on line using the button below.  From the Q&A list, choose the one which matches the problem, 'open' the 'section' and click the trouble-shooter link.  NB: If you receive a failure message (rather than a log-in prompt) then log-in to the user portal in a different browser tab and attempt to use the trouble-shooter again.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having issues with your connection.

We've tested your line and it's certainly intermittent as shown below

Our tests aren't showing a cause for this I'm afraid.

So that we can investigate this further can you raise a fault here and post back once you've done so?

This will allow us to get your issue picked up and investigated further.
