Intermittent connection

Hi,

For the last 2 weeks I have been having regular disconnections, mostly in the evening. The ADSL light flashes rapidly and I lose all connection. If I try a reset, that works for 10-30 mins then the fault reoccurs. I have been trying to report a phone line fault as there was noise on the line, this has now cleared and I am still getting regular disconnects. Please can anyone help?

Testing your line is showing a lot of disconnects:

Is the router in the master socket? Has the noise completely gone now?

Re: Intermittent connection

I can't seem to see a master socket behind either if the sockets (pic attached), the noise has completely gone. It seems to be working for longer after each reset, maybe the router is on its way out?

Re: Intermittent connection

That is a simple extension socket. If the other one is the same then there must be another socket or Network Terminating Equipment somewhere. Near where the Openreach network cable enters your premises.
