Intermitent Connection

Mine too. Tried selecting a unique channel - still drops our

tried disconnecting all devices  - still drops out

tried swapping router - still drops out

tried moving away from DECT phone and microwave -still drops out

tested line - and it is fine

started about 6 weeks ago - previous 4 years all Plusnet - no problem. Seem to coincide with getting an Alexa but disconnecting her doesn't stop the wifi dropping out.

 

wired connections work OK until router reboots itself

@Carpenterstatio Not being funny - but 'me too' posts' don't help - please start your own topic, it is so much easier for all concerned and avoids mixing two possibly unrelated incidents.

Apologies Jab1 new to this medium myself having exhausted other options.

 

about 5 or 6 weeks ago our previously reliable wifi started dropping out intermittently. Wired connections were OK until the router rebooted itself.

 

we have a long house 3 wifi connections, and a wired network supported by a dell power connect unmanaged switch. Probably 40 devices connected one way or another.

 

We have tried every combination possible to try to isolate the culprit - but no matter what we do, the wifi keeps dropping out.  This seems like the Same issue you were responding to in the last few hours (hence the "me too" comment)

OK @Carpenterstatio But it so much easier for those of us trying to help, if people start their own topics, and to be honest yours sounds similar, but much more complicated than @ThreeNineteen's

The connection does seem to have started dropping out more frequently again (as shown in the logs I've included below) so it would be a good idea to report a fault with us next, that can be done online at http://faults.plus.net

Adam - we have already reported this fault to you.

 

plusnet made several suggestions -all of which we had already tried and plusnet have now indicated that there is nothing more you can do.

 

but the internet keeps dropping out. (It just has again half way through writing this post)

The engineer called yesterday. Replaced the BT socket, couldn't find any issues with our setup swapped over some wires.but the problem remains. Multiple drop outs again today. 

Any ideas?
