DLM must have kicked in again. Down to 10MB. Need this triage tea to get on with it and find the problem.
Just to clarify a bad router wouldn't stop the modem connecting would it?

Not on FTTC. The modem connects (sync) before the router establishes a connection (PPP session). Our testing should show if there's an issue with your modem, normally.
Don't worry, we'll keep on top of things for you and let you know once we've got more information.

Can you confirm if I'm on 40/10 or 80/20 fibre? I have the fibre unlimited package.
Will moving me to 80/20 help? E.g if im on 40 now and DLM slowed me to 12. Will being put on 80 slow me to 52 for example? (Assuming my line can handle 80)

Unless your line can manage the maximum 40Mb/s down and/or 10Mb/s up (sync) speed there would be absolutely no change if you were switched to 80/20 I'm afraid.
The difference between 40/10 and 80/20 is purely the upper limit.
Once you get the connection drop issue sorted you might just get the maximum speed for 40/10 (though the figures posted so far suggest possibly not), only then would a change to 80/20 be of any benefit.

Can someone chase this triage team up?! Peter rang yesterday to book me an engineer however they have said they need to more testing first   speed dropped again now. Not even getting 6MB wirelessly!

I have updated my ticket with the BT tap3 test result. Not looking good, down to 5.3MB now
