Re: Interleaving

THanks for letting me know.
Your connection has dropped 7 times today.  Would I be right in thinking that that wasn't intentional?

Re: Interleaving

Yeah it wasnt, the power cable on the thompson router doesnt fit very well and while the wife was hoovering she knocked it out.  Also the connection has dropped due to me changing routers and setting up the new netgear.
Thanks

Re: Interleaving

Well let's hope it's fixed, whatever it was, but just in case -
A few thoughts here -
Do you leave rhe modem/router on 24/7?
Have a look at the router stats info and see if you can find a "Line Count" or "on-line time" or "WAN uptime" or anything similar.
You haven't got a sky box or anything similar, or a fax machine/answerphone that's not plugged into a filter have you?
If you start to see slow throughput speeds at peak times again run some tests at off-peak times (very early morning probably best).

Hi anotherone,
Speeds seem to be keeping constant

To answer your questions.
1) I leave my router on 24/7 but do try to restart it every couple of days
2)

System Up Time 23:14:25
Port Status TxPkts RxPkts Collisions Tx B/s Rx B/s Up Time
WAN PPPoA 71022 94997 0 182 1171 23:12:53
LAN 10M/100M 119029 137528 0 340 378 23:14:20
WLAN 11M/54M/108M 277131 214555 0 1639 521 23:14:15

3) No sky boxes or faxes.  The only things plugged into the master socket is my router and a digital cordless phone.
Thanks
Steve
