Interleaving turned back on?

Not sure what to make of this. No problems noticed with the line (as usual).
Link Information
Uptime: 17 days, 7:42:14
DSL Type: G.992.5 annex A
Maximum Bandwidth (Up/Down) [kbps/kbps]: 1,204 / 22,008
Bandwidth (Up/Down) [kbps/kbps]: 1,203 / 22,168
Data Transferred (Sent/Received) [GB/GB]: 4.87 / 29.70
Output Power (Up/Down) [dBm]: 12.0 / 16.0
Line Attenuation (Up/Down) [dB]: 8.0 / 14.0
SN Margin (Up/Down) [dB]: 6.0 / 6.0
Vendor ID (Local/Remote): TMMB / IFTN
Loss of Framing (Local/Remote): 0 / 0
Loss of Signal (Local/Remote): 327,678 / 0
Loss of Power (Local/Remote): 0 / 0
Loss of Link (Remote): 0
Error Seconds (Local/Remote): 393,212 / 0
FEC Errors (Up/Down): 32,348 / 0
CRC Errors (Up/Down): 1,367 / 8,655
HEC Errors (Up/Down): 208,011,342 / 26,161

What's the cause? I thought this wasn't going to appear again...  And if the line is really so unstable that I need it (certainly doesn't seem so), would it not just be better getting it up and down?

Re: Interleaving turned back on?

BT line stats are showing that interleaving is currently off. If this is causing a problem, we'd ask you raise a fault report so we can advise further with BT.
I'd thought it might be on automatic, but further checking shows it's off (in the order system).

Re: Interleaving turned back on?

Why do you think your line is interleaved? Have you experienced slower pings? You say you have no problems with the line and the CRC errors for 17 days uptime are very low. You have zero FEC errors on the downstream so the downstream is not interleaved. There are upstream FEC errors reported but this data is sent from the receiving end i.e. the DSLAM at the exchange so is probably a old accumulated value that has not been reset. Is that FEC count increasing at all? Also BT adsl2+ lines always sync at 888Kbps when interleaving is on so as yours is syncing at 1203Kbps there is no interleave applied. Just enjoy your fast and stable line, I wish mine was that good, no chance on a 20CN exchange. Smiley

Re: Interleaving turned back on?

I have also occasionally seen my upstream in the fast path section of my router stats, with its FEC count increasing (and with an increase in upstream speed from 882k to 890k).
