Interleaving Status Please

Hi, I recently had my interleaving switched from Off to On because I was having hideous gaming issues. The change was like sun and moon different! Though this past week the problems have come back, so I'm wondering if for some reason it has switched back to off?
Could you please check the status of my interleaving and see if it needs switching back to ON again? The problems are exactly that of when it was off, so just need to find out why its returned.
p.s Any idea why I would only ever achieve B graded internet on pingtest.net? Everyone else I know achieves 'A' grade.

Many Thanks for your time, I'm just trying to get to the bottom of my terrible gaming lag, and having recently had my interleaving changed to ON and gaming became perfect and now its returned to not worth trying, just interested to see if the interleaving has indeed reverted back to Off?

Hi skybondy,
I've just taken a look at your Interleaving is still on.
What game is it you're trying to play?

Re: Interleaving Status Please

Thanks for checking, in that case it doesn't matter, it must be something else?, its not any specific game its all of them lol.
Only when it changed over to being ON everything worked perfect, it was like a breath of fresh air, and was playing like it was meant to, but after being away for 2 weeks I've come back and its just aweful again. Very little hit detection on every game, and I'm just curious as to why it was suddenly all fixed and now its reverted to as it was before? Seems like my sync is well off with just about every other player in every game, I live next door to the exchange my line is something like 170mtrs, I have like 22mb down and 1mb up, speed isn't an issue at all, its just my data seems to flounder in its throughput somewhere.
Im just intrueged by the difference that was made initially and how now something has kicked in again making it like its always been...terrible.

Perhaps switching down to 8mb ADSL or trying to boost my upload would eliviate the situation? Is annex M 2mb upload available?
Anyway many thanks for your time I look forward to any further thoughts about it?

Hi skybondy,
Could you please visit http://faults.plus.net and complete the Fault Checker as I think there could be a fault somewhere. Your line quality is pretty poor considering your short distance to the exchange.

Re: Interleaving Status Please

Hi Chris, I've completed a fault thing, but only had 3 fault choices... 1.can't connect, 2.my broadband is slow, and 3. My line drops.
I just kept getting trouble shooter error page if I selected 3, so I managed to get it to go though using 2. My broadband is slow.

The history of getting my line activated and working is not pretty, it took 6 engineer visits to do it! I won't go into details but incompetence played a huge part! First engineer disconnected my neighbours line and gave it to me? Left him with no internet for 4 weeks while they all tried to fix it.
The plastic junction box is broken and they just left it all exposed to the elements, I had to get a ladder and duck tape it in place! On the 6th visit I mentioned yet again it was broken and needed a new one as it has no proper seal! The engineers contnued to keep using my piece of duck tape to hold it in place, though an engineer insisted he'd placed an order for it to be replaced, to this day it still hasn't been changed! Some 14 months later. You have to bear in mind I am in Cornwall, so bodging a job and making do are standard practice's lol.
Registering a fault with you makes me incredibly nervous...please don't let them ruin what broadband I have!
Thanks for all your help

Re: Interleaving Status Please

Wow - what a story, that's really quite shocking!
I wouldn't worry too much about it, we need to get this sorted out as you're not getting a particularly good service at the moment. The Fault Ticket has dropped into our Faults Pool so that'll be picked up within the next 48-72 hours.

Re: Interleaving Status Please

Hi Chris, I've had an email regarding my non existent disconnects lol, which is what I put on the form. So whether you need to let them them know yourself I don't know, but if you could discuss what you have seen with them and let them know my line disconnecting was just a default selection I had to make in order to register this fault that would be great. Kevin Sherratt was the one who emailed so I guess it'd be him you need to chat to. Let me know what you think.

Re: Interleaving Status Please

Hi Chriss , I'm getting very confused now, my initial posts I made were relating to my interleaving and gaming quality. When you looked at my line you mentioned I needed to create a faults report, I did this but not knowing what problem you are seeing (as above you mention im receiving a poor service considering my distance to my exchange) I had to select my line disconnecting...though I am not aware it is disconnecting? So I have no idea what problems it has lol you were the one pointing at a problem but I have no idea what with?
So is my line disconnecting? What is the poor service problem you see as I have no idea. This disconnecting was just something I had to tick in order to raise a
This is becoming quite comical lol.

Re: Interleaving Status Please

Hi,
Since raising the fault, your line quality has improved significantly, which is why the fault ticket has been passed back to you.
Please see the attachment for your line stats. This information can be translated here: http://community.plus.net/library/broadband/broadband-faults-guide-our-testing/
I can't see why you'd be experiencing gaming issues, however your Interleaving is on.
Has anything changed with regards to your setup or wiring anywhere or had ANY new electrical devices fitted or started using Homeplugs?

Sorry, faults are difficult to track down and it's important we cover absolutely everything.
