I am trying to help my neighbour out who I referred to Plusnet I can sync at 8128 but he only gets 7680. I replaced all his internal wiring and BT boxes’ I have gone through everything I can think off but he still cannot sync at 8128. Examples master socket orange wire cut BT-i plate fitted 4 new sockets that have internal filters lines so no need for filters on the outside of the BT sockets
Our BT lines is quite short because our BT exchange is a cross the road from us all wiring goes direct I was here when ours houses were built so watched them laying underground cables
My next thought is does his line have interleaving switched on?
His noise margin is the same as my settings

Jojo could you compare both stats and let me know if iam going wrong someware i.e router drops connection

you could find this out quite easily...
Do a ping from your line, and a ping on their line.
if their ping to a reputable source (e.g. google, or bbc) takes 20-30ms more, it looks like interleaving.
I cant help more than that unfortunately without both sets of stats. it looks like IL is switched on (i believe its on by default on new sign ups - a ticket should get it removed)
Those are some pretty good stats

Aren't these two the wrong way around?
If the Attenuation really is that low (very possible given distance?) then having the SN margin that high would give a reduction in line speed. My stats are:
But, I'm connected at 8128 with interleaving on (not Fastpath).
Quote Line Attenuation (Up/Down) [dB]: 4,0 / 3,0
SN Margin (Up/Down) [dB]: 18,0 / 15,5

Output Power: 18.0 dBm 12.5 dBm
Attenuation: 31.0 dB 14.0 dB

Wrong. When syncing at full speed there will be spare noise margin left over, the higher that is the better. It means that when you get ADSL 2+ you will get a very high sync.

I used to connect at 7616 with interleaving turned on, and now at 8128 with interleaving turned off.
My pings probably decreased around 10ms at the change, and i currently get around 17ms to www.bbc.co.uk

I will ask my neighbour to do a ping test and post the results in the next few days
Hopefull jojo can post his stats to see if his line keeps losing its connection
