Is this limit forever?

No, if need be (i.e. as part of a fault investigation or whatever) then we'd be able to make the change. If it's a request to make changes just to test things or on a whim though I'm afraid it'd be unlikely that we'd place the order.
What is it that you're hoping will change though? Is interleaving affecting your use of the broadband? Bear in mind that if it is turned off and you're currently tweaking the SNR down to 6 that it's very likely the line will start to drop connection again.
@Nozzer - If interleaving is set to Auto the SNR will default it to off initially, though as it's set to auto it may well turn on depending on the line quality. If it's set to always on or always off though it won't change the state.

Re: Interleaving

@Matt....  that's what I thought. He had an SNR reset done recently so that should have reset the interleaving to auto.
@sjrinfroyle...  your router will report what the current state of interleaving is on your line, not whether the DLM is set to automatically turn it on or off. I would suggest that your interleaving is currently set to auto, with the current state turned on because it needs it. Atificially tweaking your SNR during the training period won't help things much.
Matt might be able to confirm whether your interleaving is set to auto and currently turned on?

That would be useful.

Re: Interleaving

Yep - it's been set to auto and is currently turned on.

Thanks Matt. How long should it take for the IP profile to increase?

Re: Interleaving

Assuming you're talking about the difference between sync rate and speed result in your sig, provided it stays stable it should uplift in around 3 days.

Okay, thanks Matt. I just have one more question for you: if the target SNR was to be reset to 6dB would the interleaving be turned off at the start?

Re: Interleaving

If the SNR was reset then yes it would default to 6dB and yes it would set the auto interleaving to off. However given that this has been done on your line several times before and each time it's defaulted to a higher SNR than 6dB and each time it's turned interleaving on I suspect if it was done again it would be no different this time.

Re: Interleaving

Matt, could you post a connection graph for the last month?

Re: Interleaving

Sure thing:

Looks like it's not stable at all at 6dB, I suspect the best thing would be to leave the DLM system to do its thing and train the line to the best compromise of speed and stability.

Re: Interleaving

Thanks again Matt, you really don't get enough credit! Will these graphs ever be user accessible?

Re: Interleaving

Ideally yes, it's certainly something we'd like to do. Unfortunately there's other things on the roadmap at the moment.
