Interleave Off

Hi all,
Had my service for 10 days now and am very happy with the speed and have had no problems. I would like to get interleave switched off on my connection as latency is more important to me. How do I go about getting it switched off and how do I know when it is done? I got a netgear 834gt router and below are the stats.
ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 8096 kbps 448 kbps
Line Attenuation 10.0 db 5.0 db
Noise Margin 9.2 db 23.0 db
Many thanks.

Re: Interleave Off

Ohforf,
If you check on your account you'll see that I've just raised you a ticket informing you that an order to remove interleaving has been placed and should complete tomorrow.

Re: Interleave Off

Is there an easy way to see if my interleaving has been turned off? My router does not tell me this information.
Thanks

Re: Interleave Off

Hey,
Asking me generally seems to work fairly well Wink
Looking at your line, interleaving is still showing as being automatic, but your synchronisation speed is now 8128Kbps.  Generally, if interleaving is turned on, this would be slightly lower (generally 8076Kbps and below).  This suggests that it's probably been turned off, but BT just aren't reporting as such yet.
What results do you see when pinging bbc.co.uk for example?

Re: Interleave Off

Hullo Smiley
23ms is a good ping time for a non interleaved line.  I'd expect 40-50ms if you still had interleaving turned on, so it looks like my theory about BT having done the work but just not reporting as such would be correct. So yay.
