Informed comments on these stats please?

Hi
Would anyone like to comment on the attached stats taken from my daughter's Asus DSL-AC68u.
Since the DLM applied interleaving 3 days ago the connection has been more stable.
Are the stats acceptable for an estimated 2km line.
Edit:Identified who's line it is.

Re: Informed comments on these stats please?

Your reported DS attenuation of 44.9 suggests a line length of more like 3.2km than 2, and as such according to Kitz your connection rate is very much as might be expected.
My line length is not so different from yours - the router log at the time of the last resync shows a target SNRM of 6 US and 9 DS, the actual US SNRM being considerably above that now, as it is for most of the time.
My connection is much more stable at these slightly lower than theoretical maximum rates - trying to optimize them by resynching during the daytime usually results in grief sooner or later (usually sooner  Roll eyes), as REIN and other interference becomes much more of an issue the closer it's pushed to its limits, and would probably lead to interleaving being applied too if I persisted.
I suspect there are many ADSL connections like mine - it's not always easy to comprehend what the DLM is doing, and why, but most people are probably quite happy to leave it to it as long as their broadband seems to be working reasonably reliably.  Wink

Re: Informed comments on these stats please?

Thanks for your response JayG.
This Kitz page estimated the length by road to be around 2km and having walked the route a number of times it's probably quite near the mark....unless the cabling takes a wild detour Wink
I'll see how it fairs over the coming days and thanks again.

Ha! The underground cables from my DP pole start their journey to the cabinet by heading off in completely the opposite direction to the exchange, and my cabinet is further away from the exchange by road than my house is!  Cheesy
Hope your connection proves to be reliable, however long or short it actually is.  Wink

Re: Informed comments on these stats please?

@Mook Maybe there is an error on BT's database for your line.
I have a friend who I recommended Plusnet to.
On the Kitz check I get this
Quote
        Warning
PhoneNo and PostCode Exchanges don't match
Please go back and enter valid info

His phone number and postcode have both been verified as correct.....but not according to a BT database it seems Undecided

Re: Informed comments on these stats please?

Different routers report attenuation differently and it seems to differs on different services  adsl  adsl2 adsl2+  I think it also varies with temperature and the condition of the line.
One of my routers reports at 38.5 but I think i have been up to 42.
That level of interleaving 64 is quite high so indicatative maybe of a poor line and even with that there are CRCs though I am not Informed enough to know if that is a lot for the time up.  Perhaps post another set of stats so someone informed can see how may CRCs have accumulated in a given period. If the stats are looked at regularly jump
in CRCs can indicate rein. Sorry if  this egg sucking.

Re: Informed comments on these stats please?

When my router resyncs the CRC count goes to nil ( at least looking back I am pretty sure it does). and with interleaving and REIN CRCs are less than 1000 a day
Your router has up time of  3d16hrs  and almost 20000 CRCs ? so not sure about the 2000 per day?

That's the DSL uptime.
The router uptime is just shy of 6 days days.

Re: Informed comments on these stats please?

@Strat there must be an error at 6K kilometers, I know I'm rural but...
