Incredibly slow for the past week

Since about Thursday night I've had rediculously slow connectivity. I've been logging on in the mornings and my router's Download Sync Speed is around 300k, with 185k being the lowest I've seen on Friday.
I've run a few BT Speed Tests and they always come out in the red. Here's my latest test:
Download speedachieved during the test was - 108 Kbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speedsis 400-2000 Kbps.
Additional Information:
Your DSL Connection Rate :1233 Kbps(DOWN-STREAM), 440 Kbps(UP-STREAM)
IP Profile for your line is - 1250 Kbps
The throughput of Best Efforts (BE) classes achieved during the test is - 17.59:41.67:40.74 (SBE:NBETongueBE)
My PlusNet profile is set to: 250. So that's definately a problem.
Also, my pings are currently in the excess of 150ms. Not at all good when I'm paying for the pro package!

The profiles on our side and the IP Profile now match at 1000. You may need a single soft reconnect of your router.

Where are you pinging to? try ping jolt.co.uk and paste the output in here.

I was pinging google.com.
My connection is still very slow. The routed is synced at 885 kbps. Rubbish.
However, I have no dial tone on my phone. I'm wondering if I have a phone fault and that's somehow affecting the router? I've unplugged the phone to see if it brings my sync speed up.

If you have no dial tone on the phone without the router connected you must report a voice fault to your phone supplier

The BT fault checker says there's no problem. I'll try a replacement phone first.

If there is a fault on the voice side of the line, then it's likely to be causing any broadband problems too. Once any fault with the voice side is resolved then you should start to see improvements on the broadband side.

Tried a new phone and still have no dial tone. The BT man is coming on tuesday afternoon.

Fixed the line, still poor speeds and noise though! At least I have over 1.5 meg again.
