PN have started a mass "upload uncapping", although in very occasional cases it does cause problems that you are seeing.

I'm really sorry for the problems you are experiencing with the dropping on your connection. I've taken a good look at your line and can see that your line is banded. This means your speeds have been restricted, normally due to your connection dropping. Here is a look at your connection:

Has anything changed in your property or has your router been moved? It may be that the uncapping of your upstream has caused your line to become unstable, but in theory it shouldn't really happen. If you'd like me to cap your upload speeds, I can certainly get that done for you.

Please can you let me know if that has taken effect?

The figures are now as follows ...
Upstream 440
Downstream 10678
SNR Upstream 16.4
SNR Downstream 9.6
Line Att (Upstream) 15.2
Line Att (Downstream) 29.0
The downstream figure usually settles down eventually to something around 8-10M.
Hopefully this has resolved the problem. Many thanks for such a speedy response.

Unfortunately, although you put the cap back on our upload speed on Friday (which fixed our problems), it seems to have been taken off again today.
As a result, after a good weekend, we are now back to frequently losing the connection again today, due to the low SNR figures.
Can someone please put the cap on the upload speed back on? Do you need to do anything to make sure that the cap stays on?
Thanks.

Really sorry about that, leave it with me and I'll ensure that it's capped by the end of the day tomorrow for you.

The figures are now as follows ...
Upstream 444
Downstream 12657
SNR Upstream 30.7
SNR Downstream 6.4
Line Att (Upstream) 15.2
Line Att (Downstream) 29.0
The downstream speed usually settles down at 8-10M after a few days.
Hopefully the cap on the upstream speed will stay on permanently now?
As an aside, I notice that the upstream SNR has been much better since I started this thread. I don't know if anyone has done anything to help that.
But anyway, I am quite happy with the current figures - hopefully things will stay like this now.
Thanks again for your help.

Upstream 1203
Downstream 11891
SNR Margin(Upstream) 6.1
SNR Margin(Downstream) 6.6
Line Attenuation(Upstream) 15.4
Line Attenuation(Downstream) 29.5
The upstream speed (1203) is too fast for my connection, and as a result the signal to noise ratio is too low and so the link frequently gets disconnected. In the past this eventually brings the downstream speed too low (the downstream link is a bit too fast at the momentl, but that usually stabilises at about 9000 or 10000 so I'm not worried about that). It is the upstream link that is the problem. Plusnet have capped this for me in the past (at about 440) and this stabilises the connection. Can this upstream speed be capped again please?

Sorry your upload has uncapped itself again - really not sure why it keeps doing that!
I've re-placed the order to cap your upstream, should complete tomorrow morning for you.
