Hello ...
I wonder whether anyone has noted an increase in corruption rates for downloads of large files since moving to fibre optic connectivity?
Does anyone at Plus know whether this is related to fibre technology?
All the best,
Kenneth Spencer.

Not seen any issues with corrupted files since upgrading to fibre, and I've downloaded a lot of stuff since.

In my case, I'd definitely say less corruption on downloads since changing to fibre.

I have noticed a massive increase in error counts (corrected errors or retries and/or retransmissions) since the switch to the 17a profile.
When RSUnCorr errors hit a couple of million within a one minute sample period, the modem tends to re-sync the connection.
But, as Plusnet don't see all these re-syncs in their Radius logs, they don't believe my connection has a reportable problem.
As far as actual corruption of any downloaded data goes, then no, I don't really see much (if any).

No - no problems here whatsoever.
But protocols like FTP and the secure equivalents should all transfer files perfectly - that is the whole point of the underlying TCP protocol. What are you using to transfer files that results in them being corrupted?
