Incorrect usage

I checked how much I had left to use for the rest of the billing month and I had around 50GB left to use in 3 days, so I decided to download a load of games on Steam. (Mid afternoon)
I carefully calculated how much these games would use and it was around 23GB.
So I just checked my usage for yesterday and it shows that I have only used 5.98GB, no where near the 23GB I expected.
Any ideas why?

I am not too worried, my next billing period starts tomorrow and by my calculations I still have at least 25GB of my allowance left taking into account yesterdays usage issue.

I rang up very early today, spoke to Techie Rob, very helpful.
He's put me on a list of users with this problem.
He couldn't see a status report on this.
But he did say there has been a similar problem since March, still the same one ?
He also said if anyone goes over their limit due to this, they would not be charged.
But you need to inform PlusNet.
I've reloaded SurplusMeter (for mac) for my own peace of mind.
It logs Up, Down and Total usage.

My on peak usage seems to be fine.
Off peak is wrong though, I downloaded about 5GB this morning and the usage on my account only says 210 MB. I have had a long running issue where if I download a lot overnight the usage seems to loop. Although I would usually need to download a lot more than 5 GB before it went wrong.

It's slowly getting there...
But line speed is half, at 8.5mb/s
It's going up in small increments. Polling everyone affected in turn ?

Subject: Broadband Usage Reporting (71746) - UPDATE
This is an update to our earlier post regarding broadband usage not being displayed correctly on our website for the following account types.
Usage is now starting to populate and we expect this to be fully up to date later this evening.

Seems to be back to normal(ish) now.
