Incorrect info + Estimate Query

Good morning
I was just looking at my profile and estimated line speed and the info showing is incorrect unfortunately. I have just moved to a new address
in a new area and fully understand my line has to settle for at least 10 days so don't expect great things yet.
I have added the information below that I'm seeing at present, I blanked out the first 3 numbers of the phone number, but need to inform you
it's wrong, I have a new number and no longer live in the Ashington area.
My account details are up to date so this needs to be updated to show the correct info, if and when possible.
Also my estimated line speed should be between 8Mb-17Mb, it's under 8Mb at present, which does not concern me at the moment
due to the 10 day period, so it's just more the case of getting my info updated or looked at please, again if and when possible.
My sincere thanks
Bill

Telephone number:
    01670 xxx987
Phone exchange:
    ASHINGTON
Estimated line speed:
    6Mb (This may vary between 4Mb and 8Mb) - Checked on 2016-02-04 12:17:35
Current line speed:
    15.6 Mb

Re: Incorrect info + Estimate Query

I've just refreshed that information on your account.

The estimates on http://www.dslchecker.bt.com/ for your line are much much lower than that. What will likely happen is the estimates shown at that link will change, as the line was previously an MPF line it may be that the estimates given previously were based on address/postcode.

Re: Incorrect info + Estimate Query

So if I'm understanding this right, those speeds reported on that link are what my speeds will drop down too eventually ?
I have just done a speed check and I am currently getting 14Mb download speed today which is spot on what I was told
by customer services when I signed up for my contract when I moved.
If it does drop to those low speeds then as far as I'm concerned that's breach of contract because it's not what I was told to expect.

Re: Incorrect info + Estimate Query

You don't understand it correctly - you have it the wrong way round
The estimate will or should eventually change to get closer to the speeds you are getting
The estimate is just that and will never affect the actual speeds you get
