Impulse noise protection ?

In my router i have the feature for Impulse noise protection.  I understand it can help bad lines with a lot of noise.
Would it be useful for everyone or certain lines?
My stats are:
ADSL Link                 Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed           7520 kbps 1067 kbps
Line Attenuation                   45.5 db 24.2 db
Noise Margin                       5.1 db 4.9 db

It's a case of try it and see. It won't have any effect if the MSAN you are connected to doesn't support this feature. You should compares pings as well as error rates, sync speed etc.
