I am not sure if I joined during the beta or not. Is it ok to register my details anyway. Just in case .

Looking at the dates you registered, I think you both did signup during the beta.  The email should have gone to the address you signed up to the forums with.  You should be able to see this in your Profile (unless you've changed it).

The email address in my profile is active with no problems as I have just sent a test to it.

Same here, signed up while in Beta - not received an e-mail.
I've followed the link and filled in my username anyway though.
