Re: Idiot's guide to bridge mode

@Dan_the_Van thanks.  Do I just remove the ethernet cable from the Billion to do that BQM 30 minutes on Hub 2 solo?  Or do I need to reset something else?

@Junkman

Been out for a while, should have said disable the DMZ device and make sure the Hub is enabled for Incoming Pings.

Re: Idiot's guide to bridge mode

@Dan_the_Van Hub 2 incoming ping is on and DMZ is off.  But I still have a connection to the internet via the Billion?

Re: Idiot's guide to bridge mode

@Junkman

I am now able to ping your public IP Address, we are in the same network 80.229.nnn.nnn

Is the BQM graph showing current latency now or is it all red as if disconnected?

Re: Idiot's guide to bridge mode

 I've found BQM a bit quirky, with my Hub Two, I setup a device in the DMZ with Incoming ping disabled and it worked, I then returned to no DMZ device with incoming ping enabled and it went red, so I disabled capture for an hour or so; BQM is now capturing again.

With me being able to ping your public IP Address BQM  should really be working.

@Dan_the_Van would be interesting to see if you can still ping the public IP if @Junkman turns the Hub 2 WAN ping off, and enables the DMZ again ?

Re: Idiot's guide to bridge mode

@Dan_the_Van  done.  But the LAN IP allocated by the Hub 2 has changed from 192.168.1.212 to 192.168.1.210 and I can't remember if that means I have to change anything else!

Re: Idiot's guide to bridge mode

@Junkman

You need to ensure the IP Address for the Billion is correctly entered in the DMZ Device: on the Hub two

Re: Idiot's guide to bridge mode

@Dan_the_Van  that's how I knew it had changed - in the DMZ setting

That's odd, I would have expected the Hub 2 to issue the same IP address ?

and I can't remember if that means I have to change anything else!

@Junkman you need to check that the correct IP is showing in the Hub 2 DMZ settings. Also just check the 8800 WAN status to see that the same IP is showing as the WAN IP now

Re: Idiot's guide to bridge mode

@MisterW  the IPV4 address in the 8800 is also the 210 one.
