Hi all,
I'm new to this forum, and hoping that someone can help.
My PPP connection light drops at random times, but my ADSL light stays on. It seems to happen more when the weather is bad, but not always.
I know this looks like a bad line/connection, but the Modem/router always stays synced, and my SNR margin is always steady at 6dB. The voice line is quiet, with no interference at all. The ADSL is always steady as a rock.
Sometimes the connection comes back, but sometimes I have to reboot the router. It's the same with 3 routers of different makes. The router plugs directly into the master socket, and there are no extensions.
I can't think of anything more to try.

Hi Peter,
It's possible that the sync does drop, but it returns before you notice it.
Sounds like you've tried everything you can, so I'd recommend going to http://faults.plus.net and getting a fault raised there.

Thanks for your quick reply James.
I have been on the fault check page, but the result was inconclusive.
I shall examine the incoming BT line and box closely, and see if I can spot anything.
