IP profile

Hello,
I completed a home move with plusnet a few weeks ago. My sync speed has been stable at over 7000 for about 5 days now but I'm still getting under 3mb download speeds.
I had a power cut yesterday which reset my router, the stats are below;
Link Information
Uptime: 0 days, 18:48:05
DSL Type: G.992.1 annex A
Bandwidth (Up/Down) [kbps/kbps]: 448 / 7,456
Data Transferred (Sent/Received) [kB/kB]: 0.00 / 2.00
Output Power (Up/Down) [dBm]: 12.0 / 19.5
Line Attenuation (Up/Down) [dB]: 11.0 / 22.0
SN Margin (Up/Down) [dB]: 23.0 / 7.5
Vendor ID (Local/Remote): TMMB / TSTC
Loss of Framing (Local/Remote): 0 / 0
Loss of Signal (Local/Remote): 0 / 0
Loss of Power (Local/Remote): 0 / 0
Loss of Link (Remote): 0
Error Seconds (Local/Remote): 8 / 0
FEC Errors (Up/Down): 0 / 462,947
CRC Errors (Up/Down): 0 / 1,925
HEC Errors (Up/Down): 0 / 1,757

When can I expect my download speeds to increase? I imagine I should be getting around about the 6.5mb.
Thanks in advance.

Re: IP profile

HI moffat2000,
I have checked you BT and PN profile and they are both showing 6000 so you should be getting somewhere near that. If you're only getting half of that then I would suggest having a look here for some tips.

Re: IP profile

Does the fact that my profile still shows me at my old exchange with my old telephone number have anything to do with the problem.

Re: IP profile

Hi moffat2000,
I don't see where your profile shows the old phone number but it was still showing the old exchange. I have changed this now, but it wouldn't make any difference to your speed/profile

Re: IP profile

Thread hi-jack!
Jojo, would it be possible to kick my PN profile to match my BT profile please?  Roll_eyes

HI avatastic,
I'm having trouble finding your account. Do you have another username?

Re: IP profile

Thanks Jojo, presumably that'll be why my ppp session just dropped? (see signature for stats  8))

Re: IP profile

Hi avatastic, yeah it's just a kick from our end when there's a profile change called an administrative reset.
