IP profile/interleaving

For a while now, I've been having some issues with our ADSL connection and it looks like the issue has been fixed (fingers crossed) by increasing the maximum number of TCP/IP sessions on my router (see http://community.plus.net/forum/index.php/topic,91154.0.html)
In the meantime, the IP Profile seems to have dropped from 6500 to 5500 and interleaving is enabled on my line.  I don't know if these were applied by PlusNet/BT in response to my earlier calls, but my stats are showing:

According to the BT speed tester, my IP Profile is 5500 (I'm pretty sure it used to be 6500) and I'm wondering how to increase this - from reading about IP Profiles and adaptive max logic (http://www.kitz.co.uk/adsl/IPprofile.htm) I understand that it should try to increase (as my sync speed of 6720 is towards the top of the current band and http://www.kitz.co.uk/adsl/max_speed_calc.php indicates 6500 should be possible based on my loop loss/attenuation), but I didn't know if it is being limited by PlusNet/BT?
Also, interleaving is on, which I understand is generally not required unless there are a lot of line errors - is there a way to change that and see if it is really necessary?
If anyone has any comments/suggestions, I'd be glad to hear them ((also, feel free to shoot me down if I've missed something/my logic doesn't stack up/you think my line stats suggest I'm going as fast as I should be!)
Thanks for your help, Mark Wilson (nikkijames' IT guy)
