IP Profile dropped

Router threw a wobbly earlier this morning so ended up disconnecting router &modem.
But why is my IP Profile now only 38 Mbps when it was about 52 Mbps last week? Any way to get it increased again?
thanks
Neil

Re: IP Profile dropped

Hi Neil,
It looks like when we changed your account to unlimited it has placed an order to change your speed product that you're on. I've placed another order which will complete tomorrow and get your speeds back to what they were and you're also on unlimited as of tomorrow.

Re: IP Profile dropped

Saw the messages telling me everything had completed OK. so when I arrived home this evening, I disconnected/reconnected  both router & Modem just in case it needed a re-sych to get the 'proper IPProfile. Now, what I've got is:-
Plus line speed says:-
Estimated line speed:
    33Mb (Accurate to within +/- 1Mbit) - Checked on 2012-12-20 08:50:49
Current line speed:
    37 Mb
BT tester says:-
Download speedachieved during the test was - 36.8 Mbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 16 Mbps-0 Mbps.
IP Profile for your line is - 63.06 Mbps.
I'm now very confused - I still only getting the same performance as before the changesy?

Re: IP Profile dropped

Chris,
I can't resist this one... I think you might have put a capital B where you meant to put a small b.... but in case you really mean we can get gigabit speeds on Plusnet... can I have it? 🙂
Thanks

Re: IP Profile dropped

But now I'm a  happy buuny - Plusnet profile now at 61 and I'm getting:-
Download  Speed

Download speedachieved during the test was - 59.42 Mbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 16 Mbps-0 Mbps.

Upstream Rate IP profile on your line is - 20 Mbps.
