IP Profile/ DLM reset request

Hello,

 

Recently changed over from BT broadband to plusnet.

 

I have never been above 2mbps with plusnet and was always about 6/7mbps with BT. I read online about the DLM process. Until yesterday I had been stable and connected for 5 days with zero increase in speeds. Must have disconnected overnight. I have tried all the fault finding tips, master socket, phone dial tone is fine and I tried another router. Is it possible that I am just limited to 2mbps? I never received my router on time or got switched the day I was supposed to. Just wondering if this is more of the same.

Speedtest was done via bt wholesale speedtest. Further diagnostics show IP profile band of 2mbps.

I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing speed problems

For reasons we're not seeing from our tests your line is banded at a BRAS profile of 2mbps, so I've performed a full SNR reset now which will restart the training period which lasts 10 days.

 

If you can reboot your router in about 4 hours time, you should hopefully see an increase within 24 hours.

still seems to be the same. no improvement to download speeds yet.

I've got our suppliers to manually align the BRAS profile to your sync rate of 8mbps.

Can you reboot your router and let us know how it goes?
