Re: IP Profile - 88.2% method

My recent re syncs and BT speed test performed shortly after, seem to indicate that this new system applies a revised IP profile, either up or down as appropriate, more or less immediately. Will the system described earlier in this thread in which the PN profile will be set at a rounded-up value match this speed of reponse? Is the system still due to roll out on or about 10 October?

Re: IP Profile - 88.2% method

Hi 32110,
Yes, but as we said before we'll have to see how BT deliver their delta reports before we can see how quick we can respond to them.

Re: IP Profile - 88.2% method

Sorry to barge in on the thread.....
Jojo, has my profile been dropped in the past 24hrs??  i was getting around 6800 on speedtests, with a sync of 7895, and a BT profile of just over 6900   Today, I am only getting around 6100ish, which I would expect from a 6500 profile...  i know it sounds pedantic, and I only noticed as I was rebuidling an XP system, and adjusting the RWIN.  Not too fussed, just wondered why, and the only thing I can think of is Plusnet profile dropped slightly.  Speedtest when rate higher was done at same time of night as well.
Have noticed alot of PPP drops over the last couple of days as well, in case this may be of interest. No sync drops since beginning of september.

Re: IP Profile - 88.2% method

Hi there,
The BT site is showing a profile of 6500 as of the 3rd, though the profile on our side has been at 6500 since the 15th Sept. If you're getting a faster speed than that let us know and we can tweak the profile on our side of things.
Regarding the PPP drops we can see those happening though it doesn't appear to be affecting the line profile, still it's probably worth doing the master socket tests and raising us a fault if need be.

Re: IP Profile - 88.2% method

Thankd matt. Its odd, up until a couple of days ago, was getting 6800ish. Now 6100ish
Like i said, not too fussed, but will post the speedtests. I appear to be using the nrw profiles,
Which may be the issue...

Re: IP Profile - 88.2% method

A couple of days ago my line speed again spontaneously went up slightly to 7531, with a BT profile of 6641.
Since Jojo had already kindly nudged my P/N profile up to 6500, I wasn't going to bother to ask for another nudge, however I now see that the P/N profile has gone down to 5500.
I'm not sure what caused the drop in the P/N profile but it clearly is still having problems tracking the new BT profiles.

Re: IP Profile - 88.2% method

BT reported my profile as 11815 k just now and it has been >11000 for many days but PN profile seems to have got stuck on 10000. Any chance of a nudge up please.

Re: IP Profile - 88.2% method

Hi 32110,
I've upped your profile to 11000 but the delta report is still showing at 10000 on BTs side, so it's likely to update and override ours I'm afraid. Nontheless I hope it doesn't and you keep the higher speed Smiley
