Re: I think my router is on it's way out.

Good news, I have had the new router plugged in since yesterday and not had one single disconnection in that time  (Uptime: 1 day, 5:35:20). Before it was losing connection around twice a day.
I will keep monitoring it over the next week, but looks like it's sorted. Thanks again!

Fantastic, thanks for letting us know and really glad that's sorted it. Long may it stay that way Smiley

Re: I think my router is on it's way out.

Could you post the stats from http://192.168.1.254/cgi/b/dsl/dt/?be=0&l0=2&l1=0
There's a chance there may be scope for improving speeds a little depending upon what your old router did to the DLM.

Re: I think my router is on it's way out.

There's no improvement to be had on the downstream but you should ask for your upstream to be uncapped which will in your case more than double the upload speed.

Re: I think my router is on it's way out.

If I had my upload uncapped, will that mean my download speed would be reduced?

Re: I think my router is on it's way out.

Shouldn't do. You are probably thinking of Annex M which boosts the maximum upload from 1.3Mbps to 2.5Mbps by taking some away from the download - and costs a lot more!

Re: I think my router is on it's way out.

Thanks, I will try to get it uncapped. Can this be requested on these forums, or would I have to get in touch?

Re: I think my router is on it's way out.

Often posting on here is enough but there's not likely to be anyone from Plusnet on here until the morning.

Re: I think my router is on it's way out.

Bumping is against the forum rules - you just need someone else to post this morning to bring it back to the top - which is why I'm making this post now and not last night when I saw your post!

Re: I think my router is on it's way out.

Thanks jelv, didn't know that.
If there is a plusnet member of staff looking at this, could I please have my upload speed uncapped. Thanks
