After no line drops for 27 days I had two power failures to the router about 3 hours apart - and it increases my default noise margin from 6dB to 9dB

Thats one of the main reason I'm looking at Be with their EndUser  portal and getting off the huawei dslam 
You can confuse the Doubler by tweaking your SNR upto say 12dB for a quicker reset back to 6dB.
Its a lot & easier to ask Jojo though.....

Even easier to tweak using DMT if I need to.
At present the sync speed is just above 4Mb which is the optimum for my line on ADSL1
I did wonder about switching to ADSL2+ and asking to go onto the no DLM trial

Nope - a decent router - Netgear DG834G v4 with Broadcom chip

Same as the Speedtouch, (6338) Just the filmware differences...
Shame the 2wire's are not as friendly to tweak......
