How unlimited (download-wise) is unlimited on Fibre?

I am loving having the fibre product - it's gone from 1.5Mbs on ADSL to 68Mb/s on Fibre. At the moment, I'm like a dog with two, er, tails.
It doesn't help that Neil Young is on tour and I'm grabbing all his concerts via bit-torrent (each show averages 900Mb down and upto 8Gb up). Two and a half weeks in, and i've already downloaded (and mostly uploaded) almost 110Gb!!
What I wanted to know was, how "unlimited" is Unlimited. I am aware of the speed limitations/priorities for various disciplines - BT, Xbox, browsing etc. Will I be warned at some point for downloading too much, or is it really just limiting speed that is enforced?
Regards
Dave

We don't apply any limits on unlimited, other than the traffic prioritisation that you are already aware of.

It is entirely unlimited. You can download as much as you want. Smiley

Wow! I haven't been on the forums in a number of years, and the last time I was, the big topic was about how much people were downloading and how it was affecting others.
I'll try and keep most of my usage to overnight (although I do work a 4 on, 4 off shift system, so it will be hard) - once i get the kid-in-a-candy-shop attitude out of me! Thanks once again for the very prompt replies. Wow!!  Cheesy

Re: How unlimited (download-wise) is unlimited on Fibre?

I am so tempted to try to download huge amounts but my conscience tells me to behave.
Always has done and always will do. I am monitoring what I'm using on here and it's between 50 and 70 Gb per month.
Not huge amounts but nice to know if I suddenly need a couple of iso's in a hurry I won't get shouted at Smiley

Dom,
It really is nice to know, I feel a fair bit of relief I have to say.
I am a music freak, and the bands/artist that I like could never release enough music to sate my appetite, so that's why I turn to live recordings. All legal and above board. Some people just use it to get a souvenir of a show that they attended. Others, like me, are just collectors/archivists. That passion comes with a cost - download quantities!

Re: How unlimited (download-wise) is unlimited on Fibre?

I think Plusnet have made the right decision with unlimited downloads - when I watch my traffic counter go up and up when my step-monster is using Youtube or playing Minecraft or using iPlayer, I remember back to the old days of BE when I had a 5Mb connection. I host my own server / email / webshop and we would keep bandwidth usage down to a minimum.
I say the old days - this was two months ago  Grin  Now I've gone from a 5Mb connection (and 0.8Mb up) to a 70Mb down and 18Mb up my step-monster can just about do what he wants without me worrying Cheesy

I rather think you might be limiting him to around 700GB per day!

Maybe Plusnet should change their motto to .....
"Unlimited downloads - as much porn as you can shake your stick at" ........  Grin

That's averaging nearly 7Mbps non-stop!
