It'll have a date which is your start date. The contract however is only for 1 month unless you took hardware with your order.

It will be 12 months from when you moved home - not sure about the time if your contract was suspended afterwards
if you look here it should give the date when you took a free house move or indeed any other freebies which would have a 12 month tie in https://portal.plus.net/my.html?s=0&action=account_summary

We were told that the 'free housemove' did not restart the actual 12month contract but that if we left Plusnet before staying for another 12months since the move we would need to pay for the move.
Is this correct?

First all 12 month contracts reverted to 10 days some time ago.
If your original 12 month tie in was related to a free router or activation that would run out at 122 months from the time you got them regardless as to whether you had a house move in the meantime.
As you have been told the house move incurs a 12 month tie in where you have to pay for it if you leave within 12 months of the move

You may need to double check that, my house move (2 years ago) was when PN changed from 12 month deferral to 18 months, did PN change back to 12 months?

It is 12 months now http://www.plus.net/support/customer_service/moving_guide.shtml
Quote Residential customers
Moving is free if you stay with us for 12 months after moving.
If you choose to leave or move house within those 12 months, you'd be charged £65.
