How to check/change NAT type for PS4

Hi,
Recent got COD Ghosts for PS4 and want to play online with my mates, only problem is my NAT type is "STRICT". How do I go about changing my NAT type to a setting that is not STRICT, any feedback greatly appreciated!
I understand that its to do with the router settings, its just im not sure how you check these.

Hi IvanC86,
Which router do you have?
If you have a Thomson, you can follow this guide: http://community.plus.net/library/gaming/increasing-gaming-compatability-with-the-thomson-tg585v8-xb...
Hopefully that should resolve the problem for you.

Re: How to check/change NAT type for PS4

Hi Chris,
Its a Technicolor router if that helps.
I have tried many different methods(setting up a new profile on my router settings, trying to open the ports/port tests). Didnt know if there was anything that could be done from a technical stand point from plusnet's side to change the NAT type from type 2(which I assume is "strict")
This has only arisen since switching to fibre broadband.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Kind Regards,
Ivan

I believe Type 2 just refers to standard NAT ie it's normal.
Take a look here for an explanation

Ivan,
Have you tried giving the PS4 a static IP? This normally works for me on the PS3  Smiley
