I have had fibre for nearly 6 weeks now.
Had a fault logged with Plusnet since 7th September.
Basically we get disconnections throughout the day.
syslog from my Vigor
No response to 5 echo-requests
Serial link appears to be disconnected.
Connect time 51.7 minutes.
then
Timeout waiting for PADO packets
Unable to complete PPPoE Discovery
then after 5 mins
CHAP authentication succeeded
CHAP authentication succeeded
This happens numerous times throughout the day.
Plusnet got BT enginner to visit. Had two visits now. And think this is an issue with BT Wholesale.
BT wholesale have apparently not setup the line correctly. From Plusnet support
"
[I spoke to suppliers who advised that the configuration of the line is required to have the stability and hence the email has sent to the BTW team to have this issue looked into]
and
[We are supposed to change policy speed but cannot as exchange not showing FTTC enabled
when it clearly is,Esc ref : 241957 asking them to place order if does not resolve lift and shift
advised.]
So this is clearly an issue with BT Open!!!! and BT Wholesale. Has anyone else had a similar issue. Because the way it is going I am starting to wish I had not bothered with FTTC.

Hi blueclavius,
I'm sorry to hear that you're not having the best experience with FTTC so far. I imagine with the technology being in its early days there are bound to be some teething troubles. Although that's not much consolation to you, I know.
Jojo
