How long will it take to reset a stuck IP profile?

I contacted support two days ago after my speed dropped from 7.2mb to just 2mb.  The bt speed test diagnostic showed the ip  profile stuck at 2mb, with the line speed at 8mb as normal.
With my previous ISP a stuck profile was resolved in less than a day,  anyone have a clue how long plusnet might take?

I've known it take several "attempts" although I have no idea why.

Hi there,
Your line profile has now changed inline with your sync speed. This can sometimes take a couple of days to change. We receive a report that informs us of any line changes and this didn't come through so we've manually changed this. It's something we've raised with our suppliers and are working towards a resolution.
