How long for PN profile to = BT

After some help from this forum and a fault ticket I have recently been able to raise my sync speed up from 4768 to 7xxx and then after a reboot post last weekends traffic management issue I have now managed to acheive a sync rate of 8064.
The BT speed tester now shows
Connection Rate = 8064
IP Profile = 7000
which all looks great to me but my real world download speed is approx 5.5Mb (not complaining too much as it was 3.5!)
The PN line speed page says
Estimated line speed: 7Mb (Accurate to within +/- 1Mbit) - Checked on 2012-01-30 16:46:10
Current line speed: 6 Mb
My connection seems to have been stable at 8064 for 84hours now so was just wondering if there is something on the PN side that needs to align with BT and if so how long it will take?

Until the issue is properly fixed I think the true answer is "somewhere between 0 hours and infinity", but I'm sure one of the Digital care team will pick this up and change it manually for you.  Smiley

Hi clam,
I've changed your profile to 7000 now so you should see the difference shortly.

Re: How long for PN profile to = BT

Thanks Jojo,
I can definately see a difference... it doesn't seem to like that very much the download speed has dropped right off and I have a very large ping time on speedtest.net, was 35ms now 200ms-300ms
BT Speedtester results
Download speedachieved during the test was - 1923 Kbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 600-7150 Kbps.
Additional Information:
Your DSL Connection Rate :8064 Kbps(DOWN-STREAM), 448 Kbps(UP-STREAM)
IP Profile for your line is - 7000 Kbps
Does it take a while to settle down after your change?

No, it should be up straight away, I'll run some checks and see what I can find out.

Hi clam,
Can't see anything obvious that would cause that. Is this a wired or wireless result?

Re: How long for PN profile to = BT

Hi,
it was from a wired PC. Interestingly, about 15mins after you said you would check it jumped to a very nice 35ms ping and 6.85M on speedtest.net and BT Speedtester says similar.
I'm quite ahhpy for you to claim the credit for fixing it  Grin
Thank you very much.

Re: How long for PN profile to = BT

Hi clam,
Ah, good news, it was probably just a slight delay in dropping the PPP session, so yes, I will take credit Wink
