How long does it take to get connected?

I ordered broadband from plusnet on 11th Nov. I've heard nothing since.
Am I going hear anything soon, it says 7 to 14 days to get connected..

The current stage is 'checking your line'. And has been for about 10 days.

Have you recently moved into this property?
I say this because if the previous occupant had broadband the cease can be holding yours up.
