How long does it take for line to be uncapped?

I requested the line to be uncapped as i was getting really slow upload speeds (fastest was 0.3 if i was lucky to get, quite often got 0.14 or 0.1), that was a week ago.
So how long does it take to get the line uncapped?

Were the very slow upload speeds using a wireless connection and if so do you have a Plusnet V8 Thompson router. If both answers are yes, it is a known fault with the router - you will need to ask Plusnet to replace it with a V7 which they will do FOC (uncapping will not make any difference).

The router is a V8 Thomson and i am connected to it wirelessly.
Is there any chance place an request for the V7 router Matt?

To absolutely confirm that you are seeing the V8 router issue can you run a speed test wired? You should see a normal upload speed like that.

Can I just jump in on this question. I recently switched to Plusnet from BT.
I was getting about 3-5mbps down and about 1mbps up on BT.
I have a Thompson router from Plusnet and I have been having ok download speed but very slow upload.
Could this be the same problem? if so how do I go about getting a V7 router?

If your router is a V8 that is exactly the symptoms of the fault - you need to ask for a V7.
PS You can attach images directly to your posts without having to upload them elsewhere first - just expand the Additional Options and Attachments... when making the post.

I'm not 100% convinced that it's the same issue, as all the ones I've seen so far have been where the upload only reaches about 10% of the speed via wireless. What happens if you reboot the router?

Hi bomster,
it means that the upload can reach speeds of about 900Kbps. This is only available on 21CN though; you're currently on 20CN.

I just reset the router and did a speed test and got just under 3mpbs down and 0.13mbps up.
I did increase the other day up to 0.38mbps up after I sent a query to one of the plusnet team. But it seems to have dropped down again.
