How long do BT take to update their database?

Hi,
I last asked the above question in July 07. I've got two new BT lines being installed on Monday (in Cardiff). My two questions are:
1/ Are the lines likely to show as 'active' on BT's database more or less immediately?
2/ I plan to order two plusNET broadband services (one for each line). Assuming both BT lines are installed on Monday, what would be the earliest that plusNET broadband could be active?

Most lines show within BTs databases within 48 hours of go live.
Activations for broadband take 5 working days. As such, they should be up and running by 16th April.
The biggest delays with orders are the post install testing that takes place, which is required to complete all the needed routing information databases.

TBH, most lines are almost instantaneous, or at least within 12 hours.

I ordered two new PN broadband's last Thu (New BT lines). They are still in 'Checking the line...' status. Is this normal, should I just learn to be more patient?

That depends entirely on the lines themselves.
If you would like to PM me the details of the accounts I'll be happy to look into them and supply the latest information on the orders.
