How can I boost WIFI signal

Tablet in WIFI ok in same room as router(downstairs back of house),but won't pick up wifi signal upstairs bedroom at front of house,is there something simple I can do to pick up the signal upstairs.Thanks Steve

Purchase a decent router assuming that you're using the PN freeby. Are you on fibre? If so try the Asus RT-N56U which has good range & very little loss of speed wirelessly. Either that or purchase power line adaptor plugs.

If it's the 582n, try altering it's orientation, some users have found that to help. Try changing the wireless channel you may be getting more interference upstairs from other WiFi on the same channel.

in additional to what Anotherone has mentioned it's worth trying inSSIDer: http://www.metageek.net/products/inssider/ to see which channel it might be worth changing to.
